Questions
If something here is not answered, ask. We would rather turn down an order than answer a question we should not be answering.
Use and eligibility
Are these products for human use?+
No. Everything in the catalog is supplied as an in vitro laboratory reagent. Nothing we sell may be administered to a human or an animal, and nothing we sell may be resold for that purpose. This is a condition of supply, not a disclaimer.
Do you provide dosing or reconstitution guidance?+
No, and we will not provide it on request. We publish solubility and storage data because a laboratory needs it to handle and store the material correctly. We publish nothing that describes administration, and we do not operate a calculator of any kind.
Who is eligible to order?+
Researchers and research institutions. Every account is reviewed before its first release. Restricted compounds require documented institutional review in addition to account approval.
Can I order as an individual?+
Only with a stated institutional or laboratory affiliation on the account. We do not supply individuals purchasing for personal use.
Analytical data
What testing is done, and by whom?+
Identity is confirmed by ESI-MS against the theoretical mass. Purity is measured by RP-HPLC at 214 nm and reported as the main peak percentage of total area. Each batch is screened for endotoxin. Testing is performed by an analytical laboratory we do not own.
Does the certificate match the vial I receive?+
Yes. Certificates are lot specific, and the lot code on the certificate is the lot code printed on the vial. Lot records are published in the analytics library before you order.
What happens if a batch fails specification?+
It is not released, and it is not repackaged into another lot.
Handling, shipping and orders
How should material be stored on arrival?+
Transfer to -20 °C, desiccated and protected from light. Material ships ambient in insulated packaging, which is appropriate for a lyophilized powder over the transit window.
Do you sell bacteriostatic water or syringes?+
No. We supply the reference material only. We do not stock reconstitution solvents intended for injection, needles, syringes or any other administration supply, and we will not source them.
Why is there a quantity limit per line?+
Because unbounded quantities on a research reagent do not describe laboratory consumption. Higher volumes are handled through bulk supply, where the application is stated in writing and the specification is agreed in advance.
Can I return an order?+
Unopened vials may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Once cold chain and packaging integrity leave our control we cannot return material to saleable stock, so opened vials are not returnable.
In vitro laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Harlow Sciences does not supply dosing, reconstitution or administration guidance, and does not sell administration supplies. See the research use policy.
