A reagent supplier, and nothing else.
Harlow Sciences supplies lyophilized reference materials to laboratories. We hold a narrow catalog and we document it properly.
Most suppliers in this category run a broad catalog and a thin specification. A compound name, a purity claim with no method attached, and a certificate that belongs to a batch nobody can connect to the vial in the box. That is not a reference material. It is a bag of powder with a number written on it.
We took the opposite position. The catalog is deliberately small, every item carries its full chemical identity, and nothing is released until an analytical laboratory we do not own has confirmed identity and measured purity on that specific batch. The certificate names the lot code printed on your vial.
A narrow catalog on purpose
Holding four compounds instead of forty means we can quarantine every incoming batch, sample it, and hold stock against a single specification. Breadth is easy to advertise and hard to certify. We would rather be the supplier a purchasing department can defend than the one with the longest list.
The scope of what we supply, and the conditions attached to it, are set out in full in the research use policy rather than summarised here.
